Mise at Home ("App") is operated by Fin-Free C. Corp. ("we," "us," "our," "Company"). We're committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in Canada and applicable US state privacy laws.

2. What Information We Collect

When you use Mise at Home, we collect the following personal information:

Account Information

• Name
• Email address
• Preferred country (Canada or US)
• Password (encrypted)

Health & Preference Data

• Dietary preferences
• Allergies
• Nutritional goals
• Any health or wellness information you provide

Content You Upload

• Photos of your fridge (processed for AI analysis, not retained in the app)
• Grocery lists and recipes you create or save
• Voice commands for Cook Mode (processed in real-time, not recorded or stored)

App Interaction Data

• Features you use
• Search queries
• Time spent in the app

Authentication

• When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your Google email and basic profile information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Generate personalized recipes based on your fridge contents, allergies, and dietary preferences
• Enable Cook Mode voice commands
• Improve app features and performance
• Communicate with you about your account or App updates
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Who We Share Your Data With

Your data is shared with the following third parties to provide the App's core features:

AI & Recipe Generation Providers

• Emergent.sh (infrastructure and data processing)
• Large Language Models (LLMs): Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and OpenAI ChatGPT

Our infrastructure provider may collect anonymized usage analytics for platform performance monitoring.

When you request recipe generation, we send your fridge contents, dietary preferences, and allergies to these LLM providers so they can generate personalized recipes for you.

Important: These LLM providers may use your data to train and improve their models. We do not control how they handle your data beyond our requests for recipe generation. By using Mise at Home, you consent to this data sharing and LLM training.

Authentication

• Google OAuth (for sign-in only)

User-Initiated Sharing

When you share a recipe or export a grocery list, you control where that data goes (email, social media, etc.). We do not host, store, or monitor shared content.

We do not sell your data to third parties for marketing or other commercial purposes.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Account data (name, email, dietary preferences, allergies): Retained indefinitely until you request deletion.
• Fridge photos: Not stored. Processed in real-time for recipe generation, then deleted immediately.
• Voice recordings: Not stored. Processed in real-time for Cook Mode commands only.
• Recipes and grocery lists: Retained until you delete them or request account deletion.

Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by contacting support@misekitchen.ca. We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Under PIPEDA (Canada) and applicable US state laws, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Opt-out: Where applicable, opt out of non-essential communications

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data during transmission and storage. However, no online platform is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential.

8. Children's Privacy

Mise at Home is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that we've collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

Mise at Home may link to third-party services (e.g., recipe databases, nutrition apps). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
