About the Builder

For twenty years I cooked professionally - training teams, managing kitchens, and learning what it takes to turn ingredients into something people remember. I changed menus, trained cooks, fought to protect ingredients from becoming waste. In the kitchen, waste was never just a number. Every ingredient tossed represented a cost we failed to control and a meal we failed to make.

When I left the kitchen and earned my MBA, I saw the same problem from a completely different angle. Households waste more than $1,300 of food every year. Not because people don't care - because nobody gave them the tools to do better.

Mise at Home is the app I wish every home cook had. It takes the thinking out of meal planning, helps you cook from what you already have, teaches you techniques the way a chef would, and builds your grocery list around meals you've actually planned to make. No wasted food. No wasted money. No wasted effort.

I built this because the kitchen - whether professional or personal - is where the math is real. And everyone deserves tools that make sense of it.
